Text to Curve in Blender 3.3.1

I haven’t used Blender in a while so I’m back to learning how to do some things, and version 3.3.1 is a little different to the last version I used (2.8), and some things have changed.

I simply need to add a line of text to a curve (half circle).

Can anyone tell me the steps I have to take to do this?

Thanks

  • Make a curve.

  • Create the text.

  • Give the text a Curve Modifier. Pick the curve you made as the Curve Object. Deform along the axis that works for you (this depends on your objects’ orientation). I do this from top ortho view, and deform along the x-axis.

  • Resize the text so it fits.

  • You might have to change the direction of the curve (Edit Mode → Segments → Switch Direction) so the text runs the way you want.
