texture based emission of hair

Hey everyone,

Trying to get texture controlled emission of hair particles going, without much luck. Could someone have a quick look at my blend and see if they can see where I’m going wrong?

Texture controlled emission work (i think?) only with non static particle. For stactic particle you should use vertex group with weight painting. With it you can control de density and also the areas where you want particle.

I was trying to do something tricky with grass, I think I might make another post and get peoples opinion on that specifically…

That’s wrong, they work with static particles.
