What is the setting for the color amber in the material?:spin:
… Yellow? Orange? There’s no pre-set color for this - you set the color yourself in the material menu.
How do you make it look see through, glair, and orange just how a amber looks?:spin:
Oh you mean transparency? Turn on z-transparency and reduce the alpha.
I mean, I like to make something like this, so how do I go to learn to do this.:spin:
Not that you wont get help in this forum, but something that advanced is probably best posted in the “artwork” forum. If this is all you’re asking about it doesn’t matter if it is for a game.
Advanced?
Normalmap, one Layer above a Reflection Map. Play around with Spec Values – finished.
(The Rim Lighting is another Story – would need Nodes, I guess, and then the Approach would be slightly more difficult.)
You won’t be able to replicate that look with materials alone. That amber is transparent with bubbles and solid material inside of it. If you want to replicate it exactly, you’ll need to model the insides of it.
C.A.ligari’s approach would be a good approximation, though. Just remember to reduce the transparency.
I was thinking a render of that high caliber would be fairly advanced. But I’m not really a graphics person, so I’ll leave it to the people who know more.
