Texture not displaying properly when rendered, untextured patches

Solved sorry for wasting anybodies time. I realised the solution just after I posted this.

Hi I have thrown together a basic textured character using texture painting in blender and am having difficulty rendering. In the editor it looks like this

and when rendered it looks like this:

Does anybody know why the texture doesn’t render correctly please? The mesh was put together using metaballs if that’s any relevance. I have also loaded this mesh into Unity and used this texture and it displays correctly.

Your screenshot misses out the important information.

Why have you not supplied your blend file with all textures packed (File / External Data) ? You should do this at the very minimum for ALL support questions.

Do you have hidden objects in the viwport but set to render
Do you have different modifier settings for viewport and render
Do you have duplicate meshes
