Hello all, I’m new to the forums (and Blender). I’m taking a great course at CG Cookie but unfortunately ran into a problem. I’m baking a normal map on to a low poly plane:
I successfully baked a normal map:
but when I try to apply it, my mesh is black:
This happens when I switch View Port Shading to Texture, but if I go back to Solid, I can see the normal map image.
This is what I did after baking the normal map image:
- I applied a material to the low poly plane
- Added the Normal map image, turned on normal map in Image sampling, changed to UV in Mapping, turned off Color and turned on Normal in Influence.
- Switched to GLSL Shading and activated Texture Solid
…but when I switch to Texture in View Port shading, I get the black image. Does anybody have any idea what I’m doing wrong? Here’s my .blend file: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/23066256/Floor.zip
If you download the file, the high poly objects are in the second layer.
Thanks in advance!
