texture paint after mirror modifier is applied.

So i’ve applied a mirror modifier to make my character. Gave him a texture and a material and he looks good only problem is that when i try to texture paint unique spots on one side, it still mirrors over to the other side as well…

Does anyone know why, or what i am forgetting to do ??

How does your unwrapping look like? I might be that the right side is mapped to the same texture coordinates as the left side.
