Texture paint brush paints with dithered/noisy pattern for no apparent reason

Hi, I stumbled upon a strange problem while texture painting my character that I managed to fix myself but wanted to share for all you folks if you stumble upon something similar.

The issue was that insted of solid pixels the brush was painting with this irregular dither.

The basic Paint Hard brush had no texture or texture mask, didn’t use jittered option and the problem remained with all the other brushes too.

It turned out that the problem was with the object itself. Before texture painting, The head and body didn’t have any modifier except Armature until I Joined also seperate Pants object that HAD the Mirror modifier. This probably caused Blender to try to paint on mirrored geometry that was stacked on each other and causing these freckles.

So… always check modifiers on objects that you want to join.
