Texture Painting: Is there a Way to make the soften Brush more stronger

Hi,

i try to texture Paint a Character and have a Problem painting the diffuse Texture.

I would like to start with the greater scale Shading and work my way down to the Details. So i start to paint in the bigger scale Colors using a Skin Color Pallet and then i wanna smooth out where the different Colors meet.

The painting is not a big deal but i spend 95% of the Time just moving the Smooth Brush over the Areas the Colors meet each other. It is Insane, this Way i would sit for Hours (or Days) on a Texture that i should be able to draw in 30 Minutes.

I have the Strength of the Brush Slider at max, use the half Circle as Falloff and Gaussian Blur as Blur Method. Is there a Way to make Smoothing work more Fast?

Im thankful for any advice.

Open your image texture in photoshop/affinity photo/photopea, blur/smooth, save, reopen in Blender

I figured out that i can make the Strength higher then 1, the smoothing works faster but i get this strange Artefakts. Where do this wired colors come from, they dont com from the UV Texture, i made its Background the Skin mid. Color and im not around a Border of the Texture. Is there a way to fix this Problem?

Thanks for your reply,

i would prefer a Way to do the Texture work in Blender on the 3D Model, where i can see the Effekt on the Mesh while im working.

Wouldn’t i just move the problem? After bluring the Textur that much in a Image Application wouldn’t i have to spend the same amount of time fixing and bluring the Texture along the UV Creases?
