Texture Painting Like substance painter in Blender

Hi BA! I’m a hobbyist on 3d and I only use blender for 3d arts. From watching youtube channel and reading comments and discussions on other platforms, it seems like substance painter is a top on the list when it comes to texture painting. I just wondered and want to see your comments/thoughts on why blender is still not implementing a texture painting workflow like substance painter?

Simple really. Priorities and not enough resources/developers to do the actual coding.

Some parts of Blender need to be improved/refactored first to make texturing better.

Also, Blender Foundation doesn’t have enough donation support from users to hire more talent to take care of the texturing module.

This is the answer.

It’s also worth noting that Adobe didn’t create Substance, either. They bought it.

Thanks! You have a good point. In order for an opensource software to develop a big feature for users, they have to hire a developer who’s expert on that specific field and a person to maintain it. And also, a good funding.
