Textures in the compositor

Is it possible to use textures created with the texture nodes within the compositor? It seems to load the initial texture created ok but it doesn’t update when a change is made through the texture nodes.

Edit: No you’re right. There are issues in updating it. Perhaps post a bug report?

Those texture nodes are pretty much useless for now, they need a full rewrite to be of any use.

Which values are not animating? I can change the node values, like scale and offset. Perhaps you have to render a frame to trigger changes from the properties panel?
