Texturing Question

Everytime I put a texture on something that isn’t a flat plane it stretchs in a blur of lines. How do you get it to look flat as the original image does, on each side of say, a house, which is what I’m making?

Try UV mapping. It’s a great way to control the coordinates of images on a mesh. UV select the face, then go into the UV editor. Select the UV unwrap of choice (fro mwindow or 1to1, your choice. And assign. You can them assign the texture to UV coordinates in the mapping panel -or- you can hit the textface and just use the UV texture. I’d reccoment using the materal as you can have mutiple materials (Bump mapping, etc.)
