Texturing with Lights

I am using a light to emit a texture on to an object (kind of like a projector) when I render the image shows up great. Is there a way to use this in the BGE?

“unwrap” your model ( give it UV cordinates) .
Still in Edit mode, in the UV Editor, add a new “Image” ( Image menu/New - 1024?)
Save this image ( the * should disappear) as JPG or PNG format
Then in the “Scene buttons” window (F10), in the “Bake” panel, press the Bake button ( full render)
It should work, I hope…even if I don’t get the interest of this method?!
You must save the image texture again!

Thanks OTO I ended up going a whole new route rather then using the projector method. I appeciate your help.
