My take on the APU from the Matrix movies. It’s not 100% movie accurate as I made a few artistic changes, mainly to help with animation.
I modelled this several years ago in high poly but always wanted to see if I could re-model and optimize it enough to work in real time, along with texturing and animating it.
There’s lots more I’d like to do like adding a pilot, and there’s a few mistakes that need fixing but this project took a very long time and I need a break so I’m calling it done for now.
Everything was created in Blender with some image editing in Gimp and Affinity Photo.
This was also my first attempt at complex animation and rigging.
