The Average Blender Journey - Short Animation

This is a short cycles-rendered animation on what seems to be the common experience among blender users.

Animation: It’s been around 6 months since I’ve animated a character, so I wanted to give a go at acting. It ended up being a tad over the top, but I still find it fun.

Rendering/Compositing: Having never gotten the chance to see what Cycles has to offer since getting the new pc, I tried my hand at using it in an animation. The lighting was much more fun to play around with compared to eevee. For me, a 6.5-hour final render is worth it for making something this short. The compositing was also done in Blender.

[the mask is set so only the neon sign gets the streak glare]

Assets: Speaking of the neon sign, that was modelled after the community badge by me and given some basic mats.
