Meet the cunning detective that I sculpted this week. This stylized character was inspired by the 1940-1950s era detectives that were based in the United States. I particularly liked how sophisticated their dress code was and how fashion played a huge role back then. This time I wanted this project to be very stylized, simple, and clean. I wanted the viewer to focus on some of the highlights that convey a clearer illustration without grabbing too much attention to tiny details. This project was also heavily inspired by Joao Sousa’s course on character creation.
