As a particularly video-heavy section, the Game Engine category is using a disproportionate amount of resources for the amount of activity.

If.. and only if.. there are some more supporters (Patreon) from the “game domain”.. then this may not be needed.. (??)..

The numbers of patreons may have risen a bit, but it seems not very much users wondered why BlenderArtist was down for some time.. and the transfer not only took time…

at least a year from now, this section will be removed from visibility and will no longer be accessible

was not speaking of deletion yet. So it also may lead to some discusion so that there might be a solution. (?)

On the other hand there are questions if some blender game engine fork is dead already…

Is UPBGE abandoned?

The latest official release is based on blender 3.6 Lts while there is two alpha versions of blender 4.2/4.3 But nothing based on latest stable blender 4.3, Does the project keeps developing?

its a good idea indeed. There’s no centralization of good practice . UPBGE/BGE is a galaxy of tutorials you will find everywhere on the Web and Discord retains nothing but a spam of messages that vanish in a infinite stack. Github is for devs and it’s very formal I tried an attempt to create that creation/knowledge hub some years ago … but it leads to nowhere http://upbge.wikidot.com/wiki:games

..and so someone knows how difficult this can be.

Even if there (was) is a discord server.. (but no news from this here lately)

Somekind of off-topic:
Sadly it seems some “users” rather pay for AI instead of supporting “their” community ?? ( And it feels weird when talking to people who contanstly tell you that “their” AI have told them… )

And using some free service might be tempting, but you do have no control about the content then, see:
