Happy to share my last personal project, a tribute to my all time favorite game - The Last of Us!
Inspired by the amazing art of Patrick brown https://www.artstation.com/artwork/w8D1zg
Had to recreate this scene in 3D.
@dani_tufeld , I’ve been really impressed with your work and I was hoping to dive a bit deeper into your creative process.
Could you share a few words about your texturing workflow?
Additionally, I’d love to get a peek behind the scenes - would it be possible to see this piece from a different angle?
Thank you so much in advance!
Hi Max thanks a lot, really glad to hear you liked it!
regarding the texturing process:
It is mostly based of overlying different layers:
most based straight on procedural texturing that create variety in base color,
in more complex materials I start with simple hand painted color base (like the skin).
then i add overlay of ambient occlusion that emphasize details of the geometry
then i add celshading blend with (diffuse>shader to rgb>color ramp on constant)
and pass it all thru principal BSDF.
at my artstation you can find more renders from different angles and breakdown of the scene.
