the normal mapping??

ok, I pressed N in the 3D viewport went under Display and changed the shading to GLSL, I’m assuming thats the shader mode to get your scene to look like it would in an OpenGL game? But thats just my assumption.
But is there any way to get the normal/bump mapping to activate in real time in blenders 3d viewport?

thanks.

If you have applied a normal map to your objects material and in textured GLSL view mode the 3d view will show the normal map.
For an example http://www.blendercookie.com/2011/04/14/texture-painting-in-glsl-shading-mode-addendum/
If it doesn’t work for you you’ll have to attach your blend file (including any maps packed in the blend)
