The Norseman

The Norseman is the portrait of an imaginary historical character, born from the personal need to give life to a character from the fascinating Viking world of which I am very passionate. Completely done in Blender with the help of Substance Painter for texturing the armor. Rendered with Cycles.

This is quite spectacular! Wow!!

Can you share a little more detail about how you did it? It’s technically excellent!

Wow, that looks pretty cool. Can you tell me what graphics card you are using? I am using an RTX2060 and feel like it is getting outdated.

Best,

Fantastic work here. Probably the most impressive work I’ve seen done in Blender. Is this Cycles with Blender old particle hair?
Did you do all the leather armour detailing on maps in Substance Painter? Looks great. :+1:

Spectacular! Really curious to your skin detail workflow within blender. Can’t wait for your future works!

Astonishing, and easily one of the most photo-real human renders I’ve seen. I also personally like the touch of him seemingly in a modern studio with a muslin backdrop and soft boxes, regardless if that was intentional or not. Nice work!

Just wow! Also I expected something like ‘sculpted in zbrush, rendered in cycles’, can’t remember having seen such an impressive character rendering that was (almost) entirely done with Blender.

Wonderful work, easily one of the best I have seen with Blender. How did you make the skin details? is it sculpt or is it a texture?
