THE OAK TREE [2025] Hi everyone, The Oak Tree is my first-ever animated movie — a deeply personal project that I’ve poured my heart into over the past 3 to 4 years. The story follows the journey of an artist, one that many of us can relate to in different ways. This film is my most precious piece of art, crafted with passion, patience, and dedication. It is a one-man project, created almost entirely by myself using Blender. It stands not only as a major milestone in my creative journey but also as a humble contribution to the amazing Blender community @BlenderOfficial . The majority of the time was spent on the rendering process, which came with its own set of challenges. This also marks my very first attempt at character animation, making the experience even more meaningful and full of learning. I truly hope you enjoy watching The Oak Tree as much as I enjoyed bringing it to life. Aneesh,

Very cool!!!
I love everything!
The lightings, the colors, the characters and the story… Superb!!!
I love it! The amount of time you’ve put into making this master piece must be mind blowing. Your very first “attempt” at character animation is not just an attempt, it’s very well done!
This is wonderful piece Aneesh. So beautifully realized and a heartbreakingly emotional narrative. Love it.
OMG, you did such a great job with everything!

This piece is truly astonishing in its detail: reflections in eyeglasses, the painting sequence, the cemetery sequence, the thunderstorm flashback-sequence, and much more. The visual storytelling needs no dialogue.
I’m also impressed with the cinematography – such as using an “old-fashioned” computer, then a “wipe” to clearly show the passage of time. The film is simply stuffed with details like these.
I am mildly surprised that there is no “credits roll” at the end, for example to credit the source of the music – which is wonderfully appropriate. And, a © Copyright notice.
If you spent three years on this, and I believe it, then it was time very well spent. And it is amazing that this was a one-person effort.
