Project Overview
This project evolved from a simple exploration of a character in a vast landscape into a detailed, cinematic cyberpunk research outpost. My primary goal was to capture the “lonely cyberpunk” aesthetic a world where high technology exists alongside profound silence and isolation
Evolution And Compostion
Perspective Shift: I transitioned from a standard vertical frame to a Wide Cinematic Aspect Ratio to emphasize the massive scale of the environment.
Storytelling Elements: Added cables, power consoles, and a specialized research station to make the scene feel functional and lived in.
The Focal Point: The inclusion of a giant “Bocchi the Rock” hologram serves as a metaphor for social anxiety and internal solitude within a futuristic void.
Technical Breakdown
Render Engine: Cycles (Blender 4.3)
Samples: 200
Lighting: The scene is lit by a high contrast mix of a warm local streetlamp and the cold, emissive glow from the background structures and hologram.

The Progress Journey
I’ve included my early draft to show the project’s evolution. Initially, I aimed for a minimalist, surreal sci fi vibe with a monolithic artifact over green hills. However, I felt the composition was too “clean” and lacked a deeper narrative.
I decided to pivot to a gritty, detailed Cyberpunk Research Outpost. By replacing the grass with rocky, reflective terrain and adding complex equipment, I was able to create a “lived in” world. The final touch was replacing the monolith with the Bocchi hologram, which added a layer of modern isolation and anxiety that the original concept lacked.
