Yeah, a great horned or barn owl would fit nicely! I experimented with feathers a while back, but wasn’t too successful using hair cards. Even with normal maps, the shading wasn’t as crisp as I liked. I might give it another shot, trying to create them with a custom curve node setup.

huh? I’m not sure what you are trying to point out, but no, there is only one model. I don’t even know why I would do that, besides setting my gpu on fire?

That could still happen if it has a 12VHPWR connector. 
(im talking about the effect not your work, i wouldn’t do better than you)
