Hi,

Add a sphere and apply a bright yellow material with a high emit value?

i already fixed it by adding a second one after blue spider said itd work for a different sun

Here is a sun I did a while back. Not enough glow, but…

You might try using a sun lamp in addition to your sun model. That way you get the glow and the definition. You’ll probably want to try using some compositing nodes as well to get some extra glow.

Is the sun emitting blue? If so I whipped this up…Is this what your going for?

the sun is white not blue if it is that far and its a bit more bigger then that…

Got it, just was trying to understand the original image.

Some suns are blue some are red others yellow

OK i have an idea add a yellow sphere with a hi emit value than add another sphere around it and give that one a halo property after tweaking the sizes a little you should have what you need just make sure the outer sphere has enough vertexes and that the scale is right as well as the halo size i haven’t tried this but that is how i would go about making a sun

the sphere can be any color actualy

Star colors aren’t particularly pure, as you show. A “blue” star has its highest emission in the blue part of the spectrum, but also lots of other colors, mixing together to make a “bluish” star rather than the intense blue you show.

Because the “blue” stars are so hot, they cannot emit in a narrow part of the spectrum, so they will never be a pure blue color.

Our own “yellow” star, much cooler than blue stars, has most of its emission peaking in the green part of the spectrum which when in addition to the reddish portion, makes it look yellowish.

Red stars (very cool) are probably the most color-intensive because they don’t have a lot of emission in the higher (bluer) frequencies of light, so the reddish color is purer. That’s why very red stars like Antares and Betelgeuse look quite red even to the naked eye.

matty what part of i solved it dont you get?

Hey, never anything wrong with an extra idea, eh?
