Hi All,
This is my first attempt at creating an animated video using Blender. I create a lot of motion graphics and videos for my day job, and over the past 2 years I have been learning Blender.
I also make music, it is more of hobby these days but it gives me backdrops to create 3D pieces and now animations to. The song is The Weeknd - Wicked Games.
Here is the link, doesn’t look like the embed code is working.
The Weeknd - Wicked Games [Nobody Famous Remix]
I used Ableton Live for the music.
For the video I used Blender (of course), Character Creator 3, iClone7, Marvelous Designer, Substance Painter, After Effects and Premiere Pro. The title screen was done in Photoshop.
There are a few mistakes throughout that will bother me for eternity, but since this was my first go and I was learning throughout the process, I figured it wouldn’t have been worth the time to render out some of these scenes again.
I rendered at 150 samples in 4k without denoising. I actually wanted it to be a bit rough and grainy, then I just accented that with the edits in AE and Premiere. Most scenes took about :45 seconds to 1:30 to render a frame, so all in all, about 40 or so hours of render time.
Here are a few “movie posters” I made from the renders. I hope you like!
