Has any of you ever listened to this album, Quadrophenia, by The Who? Excellent concept album. I have rediscovered this yesterday, though I’ve listened to it since I was a very small boy - my elder brothers had it since its release in 1973.
The band features musical genius like Keith Moon on drums. Keith is considered by many (including myself) as technically the best drummer that ever set foot on this planet. Pete Townsend on lead guitar, no need to elaborate on his skills with the guitar.
The Who has made 2 good conceptual albums: Quadrophenia and Tommy (about the deaf, dumb and blind pinball wizard). With Tommy, they entered the Guiness Book of Records for receiving the longest standing ovation.
A lot more can be said about the band, however, I thought to just post this thread about Quadrophenia, for those of you interested in some really good rock.
Edit: Quadrophenia and Tommy are rock operas rather than concept albums.

LOL, only a guy with a Jethro Tull quote in his signature would go out of his way make a distinction like that.
Besides, Physical Grafitti kicks all their asses. The only reason it didn’t get a longer standing ovation is that the audience had had its ass kicked too bad to do anything but gasp.
I’m warning you, if you come back here with some tough talk about Bohemian Rhapsody, I am gonna have to open up a can of Sabbath on you.
Yeah, I admit I am a couple of beers past my bedtime right about now…
Hey, not tough talk, just fact
Personally, my believe is that the two all time top drummers were John Bonham and Keith Moon. Bonham could play more passionately, while Keith was more explosive.
And don’t panic about any Bohemian Rhapsody talk from me… Although, you might try “A Night at the Opera” The only Queen lp I really listen to.
Bring on the Sabath!
