Big question where do you save it ?
i mean i don’t want yo save under blender foundation because when you load up new version everything will be replaced and i risk to loose all the new themes saved
if isave under Ctrl -u will this be sved in the b file ?
i tried to download some new themes from blender theme repository
and save it in a text file then loaded up the text editor but i got error
anybody knows what to do with this situation?
Saving the theme with Control U will save it in the .B.blend file. If you want to actually save it, you can do File>Export>Save Current Theme.
Note that for me, the script has been broken since 2.45.
where in blender foundation
or in a new folder which won’t be affected while upgrading to new version
and have you tried the themes from repository
i was unable to make them works
come as test file but whensasved to text file and uploaded to text editor
it does not work - don’t know why?
only the one that cam in a blend ifle - Orangina
I keep a separate folder with all my scripts/plugins/themes/icons that I want to keep across versions, and I just copy them in to the new installation every time.
As for the themes repository, they are .py files. These files should be saved as .py files, and then loaded in to the text editor. Press Alt P to execute it. If you wan to keep the scripts for more easy theme changes, you can put them in your scripts folder, and go to the script window, and click Scripts>Themes>Whatever.
i change the type to py loaded it up the text editor
and tried to run it - and nothing
i don’t even have an error on the othere blender screen ?
in the text editor there is only one line - not certain if this is good?
the other one in the blend file Orangina theme seems to have a lot of lines as usual
so may be there is a special way to copy it - but i did that before with other script and never had any problems !
so there is something wrong with this - not certain what it is !
here is the web site http://gls.areaunix.org/gallery/v/blender-themes/
try one and let me know
there are a lot of nice looking UI - id like to know why i cannot make it work
i got the Orangina with oirange color and it’s nice
but wold like to see how other are looking too
i put the py file in Script folder in blender foundation
then blender file and scipt view updated it and could not see the new theme that i had put there in blender foundation
not certain why i cannot see it in blender file script
i took the simple theme
and had to recreate each line - over 300 lines of text for the new py file
then i was able to run it
but what i see in the web page is a lot of text whitout lines its all one line of text
and this doees not work unless there is a way to get these lines back
you then have to rebuild all these lines
and the group function is not anable in the web page so you have to modifie the script to include it
