There were small distortions in some places as in the model. How can I fix it?

Hi. I added material to my retopo model, but there were small distortions in some places as in the model. How can I fix it?

Looks like you need to select the faces on the corners and assign them to the body slot.

Welcome :tada:…

You are properly using a bevel modifer… make sure the number of segements are even (at least 2).

I apologize for the very late reply. I have this problem even though I have bevel modifier 2. And I still can’t solve it. Plz help me Okidoki.

So now it’s not only shader distortions but real topology distortions… so you might want to check you topology (which you have not shown…) ? The size of the faces around directions changes affects the level of bebel and so the overall topology.

Thanks for your reply Okidoki.

btw, I use the arc in bevel modf. Because if I don’t use it, there is another distortion.

I didn’t looked at the modifiers in your previous post but now i see:
You do have the bevel modifier on a vertexgroup and so get triangles and n-gons and after that use a subdivision modifier. Also using some concave quad…

This is an example where “overuse” of modifers doesn’t get the result someone wants and traditional modeling and using control loops for the subdiv get better results.

You might have some look into hard surface modeling using subdiv thread/tutorials or simply have a look at this thread:
