The Darth Vader Atari 2600 was the most known version, It looked very sleek and is the one I had at 13 yo, The emotion and enjoyment it gave to a lot of Us will never be forgotten, games like Jungle hunt with its parallax scroll are so inspiring to go beyond and do what seems not possible!
I hope You like this 100% blender work.
To answer that I should unearth a long running legend: Some say this game was so bad but Atari expected to sell thousands of cartridges and consoles with this that it was long said that all of this end up buried in Alamogordo in New Mexico, The truth is, yep, there were found a lot of cartridges buried there.
Could it have ended video games industry, Nah, not at all, in Japan, Europe and even in Latin america that crisis never existed, the likes of Zx spectrum, Commodore and others ruled there!
Is it a bad game?? My god!, I will not play the white knight and ride my horse here!, in my humble opinion, yeah!, this game sucks..ss, according to Renzatic I am very patient, and Yeah I may have patience to move hundreds of vertices but I could not stand falling for the nth time after a couple of minutes playing this, anyway I agree to disagree, maybe somebody could enjoy playing this, it would be very nice to know your experiences with it.
So long buddies! Till the next friendly project!.
Thank You very much friend, I am thinking on a work with new and hopefully improved renders of all my consoles so far, but You mean individual animation or something like You said, I model a room including all this consoles and animating the camera or something?, I will be very happy to know your idea!, Thank You very much for chiming in.
I had E.T. for the 2600 and beat it back in the day. It is a trial. Avoid the scientist taking you back to the lab and the FBI agent stealing your Reese’s. Pitfalls can be used to avoid these guys. But you have to have enough Reese’s to fly out of the hole or you wither and Eliot has to come to your aid. You have to find all the pieces of the device to phone home (I think 4, I’m going off 40+ year memories), which then requires going to the forest screen and finding the singular landing zone spot. THEN you can phone home. THEN a timer appears and you have to be on that spot when the timer runs out for the ship to appear.
There’s a glitch if you call Eliot and he’s on the screen when the ship comes. The game puts E.T. in the ship, on top of Eliot and locks. It’s hard to do because E.T. walks slower than everyone so you have to run, which is super fast and not easy to control.
The joystick breaker!
Anyone remember how many hours and joysticks were wasted playing this?
Amazing and deep game, Seeing many activision games You understand why some creators left atari and created activisionI wonder how much of that spirit is left nowadays.
You may not know this, but I played E.T. quite extensively… although most, if not all, of the game seemed to be about figuring out what the bloody hell you were supposed to do. It’s probably the worst game I ever played, but also one I never forgot.
I had a Japanese Atari clone called “Atlantis” that came with more than 100 Atari games, so these games are very much part of my childhood memories.
Take these renders out of the context of this forum and I don’t think anyone would be able to tell they aren’t real photographs. As always, a great memory from the past brought back to life with Blender and some exceptional modelling craftsmanship.
Well done!
I just imagine a series of displays, perhaps columns with inset areas where you could populate the various vignettes you have prepared. Do one column for each era, with consoles of the same era clustered together, and progressing column to column to move through time.
