Time attack car

Hi, everyone.
This is a project I did a while back testing out a method of modeling an unshaded object in Blender and then manually coloring it elsewhere to allow a more manga look. I brought the outlines, the on-model shadows and the ground shadow as three separate layers into Affinity and then added color using bezier curves with color gradients. I also added some overdrawn edges to some of the lines to further the sketched look. I like how it came out, but it was more time-intensive than I was hoping for. I’ve since gotten a similar look almost completely within Blender, but this is still a useful workflow in some cases.
I had more fun than expected designing the livery and figuring out how to get some of the graphics to lay as expected, since they were added in Affinity after rendering.

The bottom shots are the renders that came out of Blender.

Hope you enjoy!
