Toggle navigation / pan and zoom icons with a key?

Hi,

In Blender 2.8, is there a keyboard shortcut to toggle on/off the navigation controls in the corner of a view? I’d especially like to turn off the pan and zoom icons in the image editor, as they annoyingly overlap the corners of images.

There is no native keyboard shortcut since it’s something that you enable/disable by preferences.
BUT
I can teach you how to set a keyboard shortcut for navigation controls toggle.
In the following video you can see all steps.
In my example I’ve set as shortcut Ctrl+Shift+F7 (just to be sure to not have conflicts)
The only “advanced” part is to change the Context Attribute from

“(null).show_navigate_ui”

to

“preferences.view.show_navigate_ui”
