Autocad has dual layer tooltips, short hover reveals basic info, long hover shows more specific details:

I always understood tooltips as short âcluesâ not in-depth explanations, for me F1 is a good way to link the manual to Blender for longer explanations.
That said sometimes the manual leaves you with more questions.

Yeah, I donât need a tooltip to be a paragraph, but do appreciate it when itâs not just the command name used in a sentence.
