Hello. I’m not that good at organic modelling, but I finally got a halfway decent model done of toph from avatar. I spent at least an hour or two modelling this. For the edge loops I didnt know where to place, I looked at Torq’s modelling tutorial.
And here is a zip file containing two quicktime movies. Both show toph’s head spinning slowly for 8 seconds, but one has no hair, the other does. I am not yet 100% satisfied with the hair.
I think you should read about face proportions instead of edge loops. You may have an extra face pulling in the vertices at the center of the forehead. Go in wireframe mode and look for an extra dark blue face.
i think TyFric is in true
but watch right now not on the way u modelling, take focus on the result, cuz to make it, are many ways, but first try to define your true and best wayt to get it
sorry my bad english
edit: take care in the eyes too
Okay, so after a long time, I decided that I would like to work on toph a little more. Due to the change between Blender 2.45 and 2.46, the particles were completly messed up, as the particle system is different now, sorta. Didnt really like what I had before though, anyway. So here is the update version, I know the hair particles on top of the head dont cover all the hair, that is due to that mesh being mirrored. I am keeping everything mirrored untill the very end. I also completely redid the eyes.
