Transform Mesh - Landscape and height - vertex magnet

Hello,

i am planning a landscape and i create it by transforming every polygon on its own. The thing is this is a very destructive workflow and if there are changes i have to cklick on every polygon again.

So my example is this picture from google. In the model i created i already tried out raycasting, but the Meshdensitiy is too high. The other way i tryed is to work with boolean and this works not bad but it is much micro-management.

One working workflow is to work with curves because they have very less manipulation points and after this covert them to meshes → after that a modification is extremely uncomfortable.

I think i am looking for something like a “vertex magnet” or elevation point. It is a seperate mesh and if i move the elevation point also the vertex arount it are transforming in height.

I saw examples for Rivers and other stuff there it is possible to change heights or move something simple on meshes. But they are not connected in a surrounding mesh. Has someone an Idea?

I saw this some time ago and alas… i even found it again
