I was wondering, is there any way to set the “advanced mode” as default number input mode, instead of having to hit ‘*’ every time?

If only you had been here when everyone complained about the originally designed input method which was exactly as you describe, and math-logical, but their voices were many and now … it is what it is. Not likely that the devs are going to put it back to what they started with so I guess just suck it up and lurch along with the zombies…:evilgrin:
