Transparent and Myst (Depth)


I´m using version 2.75 RC and I don´t know if the issue bellow is a bug or something else.

The curtain has a diffuse shader on its border and a transparent shader in the middle. When I apply, in post, a depth pass as mist (Depth > Normalize > color ramp > rgb curves), the curtain seems strange.

Depth pass does not use transparency, it’s just the distance to the surface. Use the mist pass instead, this is what it’s for. It’s also antialiased, and pre-normalized so you can skip the normalize and ramp nodes.
