Hello Blender community 
Newbie here and willing to learn. It’s been 2 days now and I’m stuck 
I have a transparent waving flags… I would like the 4 shapes to wave with the transparent flag.
Please give me detailed instructions on a step or 2 I’ve missed.

Instead of using the svg image to make curves I think it would be better to make an image texture from it with transparency, and then use that image as a texture for your plane.
You can easily make an image texture by setting the “film-transparent” option in your render settings. Choose the resolution in the output settings. From the front view go to render preview and turn off the “scene world” option in your viewport render settings. Hide the overlays and then go to view-viewport render image. Save the result as png.
You now have a nice image with transparency to use as an image texture for your flag/plane.
