Transparent mesh visible in surface reflection

Hi there!
I ran into a problem where parts of my mesh that are supposed to be completely transparent still showing up as ghostly shapes in the reflection of the water material. Does anyone know the cause of this and how to fix it? This also happens with materials where the alpha is completely reduced to 0 so therefor it’s not caused by a residual alpha value of like 10% floating on the mesh surface of the burning object.

doesnt happen here, can you show us the full material setup of the object you’re wishing to hide?

I brought in a cube with a simple material because the node setup is a complete mess on the other one and the problem also applies to this simple one.
However I noticed that the issue seems to be linked to the smoke domain. As you can see the shape of the cube gets cut off where the smoke domain ends

It’s progress but I still rather clueless how to get rid of these “shadows”.

Found a solution:
If somebody else is having this problem, increase the amounts of “Min Transparent Bounces” in the “Advanced” sub menu of “Sampling”. Mine were initially at 0.
