im getting this when trying to install a addon, a black screen. any ideas whats wrong? using Blender 2.58.1 r 38019 but since 2.58 i have this problem. Ubuntu 11.04
i tried starting blender from terminal, resetying to deaults on user preferences, installing libvdevice52, is there anything else i can try?
i foud a solved tread but for Win (pixelmass) no luck with Ubuntu, yet.

thank you pixel mass, i tried that too, but i just deleted the .blender folder in home directory and that solved my problem, thanks again.
