Hi there! I’m a music producer first and foremost. This week I collaborated with the legendary eurodance artist Pandora, and we released a new modern take on the hit Trust Me called Trust Me 25. (spotify)
The photo above is from an animated 3D scene I created for promo material. It’s rendered in cycles for the best volumetric atmosphere. The playstation one era low poly aesthetics are in the core of my AKRAS-project, and it fits perfectly with the futuristic and nostalgic feeling of the 32 year old song.
It was a bit tricky to get the cloth simulation (both on hair and dress) to work properly with such a low-poly model, but using a “simple” subsurf solved it.
The art features a “mermaid dress”-theme, and red “mines” that is sort of a new, more underwater-ish take on this classic Pandora album art:

I also filmed the live video in the promo material and added 3D effects like red mines on top. The strobe light effect was fun to create: I don’t have expensive led gear, so I just made the red channel flash in After Effects, synced to the flashing “mines”.
