Try to use blender to finish my 13 years ago unfinished artwork ( WIP Updating)

13 years ago, when I was a student, I wanna use Maya to create a COD soldier, unfortunately I haven’t finished it at that time. 13years later, I start to learn Blender and plan to redo this art work!!
Hope I can finish it!
( All work base on MBP M1 Max 64g and Ipad pro, try to test blender on Mac OS as well)

use boxcutter and HardOPS add on for small parts modeling, they r great tools

use MD to create canvas for the helmet, ( I didn’t figure out blender clothes system, too many knowledge need to learn) :dizzy_face:

remake helmet’s belt

Use Human Generator add-on to create a new body, Plan to make cloth in MD

I found a lot of TRU-SPEC Coat photo as reference, but still very hard for stating, I never did military clothes before, until I saw a guy’s work on Art station, he did great works and provide MD febric design map, that what I want, :heart_eyes: , I think I can follow his idea to do the clothes, let do it!


finally, finished clothes modeling in MD, MD doens’t work very well on MBP, very laggy

so busy recently, I start sculpting the head model and fur in blender
I learned a lot blender knowledge from the Kent’s Human Portrait tutorial, that’s very good one
