Black and white is a lost art. One well worth learning and using and you have used well.

Thanks, it was a lot of compositing, just to balance black and white levels to mimic film.

I think the images lack contrast.
If you look at black and white photography you can see that the photographers put imense weight on contrast (unsurprisingly, as that is the only thing they have).
The whole composition in black and white photography focuses on contrast and your images are very flat.
I think you could get a lot more out of them by simply using the histogramm on them but also by taking contrast into consideration when chosing the composition layout.

thanks, il need to look that up, but for references I used old washed out photos that burned in the sun… they had no contrast haha
