Trying to create a supersonic sound barrier effect

I’m figuring how to create a supersonic sound barrier effect for fighter jet and rocket. Though I couldn’t find any way on the Internet and I couldn’t figure it out myself.

volumetrics, but maybe adding some noise rextures to the dencity, and odeling the cloud to have the rigth shape from the get-go

yup, add some extra as turbulence displacement to base mesh shape
worth looking at Procedural Cloudscape Generation in Cycles (now Eevee!)

A little finicky but a smoke simulation can also come close.
