Turning SlowPar into IPO

I’ve animated something which uses the “SlowPar” feature to delay the animation of an object from its parent. I’m using this to get some nice movement in the hair, as I was unable to get the desired result using the softbody method - made everything look rubbery.

The problem is, now that I get to render time, I have to render in one go on a single machine for the effect to work.

Is there any way of baking the SlowPar animation into an IPO so that I can use my render farm?

(I’ve got almost 3000 frames at up to 20 minutes a frame!)

Ok…
So I’m guessing that’s a “no”.

and then I found out the section on animation baking under “planned work” on blender.org
(and this thread on BA…)
I guess that’s the only way of doing it, and I’ll have to wait…

(I’m only talking to myself because someone else might do a search on this in the future…)
