Tutorial needed for soft body applied on vertex groups on rigged characters

I can’t seem to find any tutorial that explains how to set up soft body for specific areas on a rigged character. I am trying to set up soft body for just fingers for natural interaction when animating a scene of a character touching a surface.

There are three places you can define a vertex group in softbody settings, and I can’t seem to find the right combination.

If fingertips are specifically what you’re looking for, I wouldn’t bother with soft bodies. You just want the fingertips to squish a little bit with pressure; soft bodies are better reserved for when you need dynamic jiggling. Shape keys would probably give you all you need for finger tips.

I would still very much like to know how to do this though.

Will someone help me if I say that I need it for the boobs as well? My carachter has four of them.
