Hi everyone, hope you are all having a good day.
I would like to ask a question,
What kind of tutorials do you think most people are looking for in relation to Blender, does anyone have any idea on which kind of content people want to see when it comes to this?
Please help me with this, thank you!
Harsh reality:
Youtube → Search : Blender Tutorial…
…try different filters: most viewed… recent…
…some of them are in “smartphone format” with that meme-sweating-guy
But then: you really wanna do another torus-tut ?? Or that meme ???
Also: it’s almost always a bad idea to ask people what they think believe what might be good… to many wishfull thinking…
hmm, thanks
you should watch some TUTOR4U tutorials on youtube. Those are really great, straight to the point and very satisfying.
Are You looking for a specific topic? Architecture, landscape, character/monster sculpting? Or are You asking because You want to start making content?
I am asking because I want to start making content
But if it is also a specific topic, why not?
Sadly, You will have to go into “dark side” and start doing clickbait videos to grow. You may be one of the lucky few, like RyanKingArt channel, to make good videos without much of clickbait but there is so much competition it’s almost impossible.
Start to stream, start making shorts, share your content on any forum You can think off and of course provide good information.
Blender lacks content on intermidate and above, level, as audience is much thinner there.
hmm, thanks
What about topic specific?
Well, if you really want some answers, as Okidoki suggested you can run a market study to see what content works best and deduce what is the targeted audience from that…
I didn’t run such study but my intuition would be that it’s about learning basic stuff and even more doing impressive things fast and easy…
But another way to answer that question is what do you like to do ? and what kind of audience you’d like to have ? Maybe that’s what you’ll be best at, and by doing stuff that relates to you, you might get a chance to stand out by being original.
I agree with Okidoki. To state it more 3D: opinions are like butt-holes: we all have one and many stink.
That said, I do think some of the basics for beginners, if explained carefully that point out many gotchas, are valuable. The area of physics can be most challenging to beginners, like “why does cloth tear”, and why doesn’t my liquid simulation behave or render vividly.
You may want to spend time perusing stack exchange for frequent topics.
Python is another mystical area – e.g., why object.operation instead of op.operation.
If you are just starting out, I would suggest looking at many of the paid courses at Udemy, many of which can be had for less than $20. I like this one personally. https://www.udemy.com/course/blender-3d-for-complete-and-total-beginners/?couponCode=24T2MT070225
