Tux, the Linux penguin

This is the Linux penguin I’ve been working on since a few days. I’ll be colouring it soon. I hope the proportions have turned out right.

Anyone observes anything that could be improved?

More coming soon.

maybe it is a bit too fat, besides that its a good pingu

Love it, cute face. But yeah, it is a bit podgy, and appears to be developing man-breasts. Thin it down and smooth out its chest, and it’ll be perfect.

i think the head is too tall, but other than that he looks like tux!

…and appears to be developing man-breasts.

It might be a pregnant female

A little trimming down and you will have the best TUX looking 3D penguin I have seen. Very good stuff!

to me it kinda looks like a strange chick…i know, its too fat to be this short…does that sound right :-?

i’ll try again, it needs to be taller to be this fat, or just make it thiner so its doesn’t have to be taller so that its can be this short cus its not fat…
(don’t know about you but i’m confuced)

A tip:

So when you think “penguin”, you should be imagining a slighly overweight penguin (*), sitting down after having gorged itself, and having just burped. It’s sitting there with a beatific smile - the world is a good place to be when you have just eaten a few gallons of raw fish and you can feel another “burp” coming.

By reading the explanation of the penguin look, it may be easier to achieve a good result…

Thanks so much for all the comments.
Tux is now slimmer after spending some time at the gym. This is a test render after UV mapping.

Any suggestion and criticism is welcome

can’t even tell him from the real one, maybe if your making a copy you could make him and evil twin, just give him evil eyes and mouth

Very nice,

Top edge of wings need to be curved not straight like a plane  I love it so far slimmed down.

You pegged it! “It’s a wrap!”

Sebastian: Thanks for the link.

javawocky: The wings will look better once he’s rigged.

Right now I’m trying to find out how a face is rigged with solvers. Any tutorials?
