Hello everyone, i want to twist an arrayed object through a curve, but when i’m trying to rotate it in any direction, it goes out of the curve and doesn’t seems a twist at all, maybe i need to rotate the curve along its length, but how? any tricks?
Thank you!
Do you want the arrayed object to follow a curve??
And then twist the array along this curve?
Are you referring to a Bezier Curve or a curved object?
Some more detail and a screenshot may be helpful to finding an answer
Hey there, thank you! Yes i made an arrayed object that following a bezier curve, and i want to twist the arrayed object along that bezier curve…
Shift + A to add an empty (arrows showing xyz axis)
Scale it up in size if you can’t see it.
In Object Mode, select your arrayed object, modifier tab, in array modifier settings, check “Object Offset” then use the little eye dropper to select the Empty…when selected the eye dropper disappears and “Empty” is displayed in the little box as highlighted.
Once you have linked your Empty to the arrayed object, select the Empty, then either open Transform menu if it doesn’t open by default and do a rotation on the desired axis.
Or you can select the Empty and press R + X or R+Y or R+ Z and use your mouse to rotate on the desired axis
Hope this helps
You can tilt each control point of a curve by pressing [Ctrl-T]. [Alt-T] will clear the twisting/tilting.
The tilt value is also shown in the right tool bar under item:
