The first one is good. In the second one the whites are really blown out especially around the lid.
I would try to light that differently.
I forgot disable one light for rendering. Thank you.
Nice work! I think it would be nice if there was a (more interesting) secondary object in the second image as well (maybe a cup of matcha latte and some matcha powder falling down from a ‘chashaku’ spoon into a cup or something like that).
