Type 127 Seehund

I saw one of these the other day on TV and it caught my attention, so today I started modeling it. It is a German two man Midget sub (just under 12 meters long)that was covert torpedo attacks.

Anyway still missing some details and texturing.

Here is a little more progress.

It looks a bit small. good work though…

Thanks remix_eyeballs,
It is actually a very small submarine. I have attached a little more info to give some perspective.

That’s a great model  of an interesting subject, I didn’t know the Germans had midget subs.
Keep up the good work.

Thanks VanPelt
I can’t think of a decent scene for this, so I went with a “model” scene.

What do you think?

Is it that bad? If so please give me some crits so that I can improve upon it.

Thanks

It’s not bad, I think that no-one has commented because it is a very specific subject.

Your model is very good (although I am not an expert on submarines, so couldn’t really judge ;)), but I think that your setting doesn’t work too well. A submarine doesn’t really seem to have that much detail, and so the scale and setting would make the picture. Scaled down to the size of a dinky car doesn’t do very much for it.

Thanks
This scene is pretty weak I agree. Think I will move on to another.

I just had a look at the wiki pictures and your model seems to be quite close to the real thing, not bad, Have you thought about setting up an under water scene, looking up at the sub with sunlight shards streaming down on to it. It’s a grate model that needs a good setting and some textures.
