Hello. My favorite video format (for a few reasons) is quicktime mov. Both PCs I use(desktop and laptop) both run windows (xp on one, vista on the other:(), and ubuntu. I am wondering, can I render .mov out of blender in ubuntu. In windows, I can, but in ubuntu, there is no .mov option. I know, I know, render image sequence. Well, the fanfilm I am working on is in the storyboard/animatic stage, where the animatics I am creating in blender based off of 2d images. I would like to render a mov for smaller file size reasons, but I cant. And I dont want to go to windows to render. Please help
Also, does blender in ubuntu render faster than in say windows? Just curious.
